Better Together at NAFEM 2019

[fa icon="calendar"] Feb 13, 2019, 9:57:28 AM / by Franke

Last week Franke Foodservice Systems Americas exhibited at The NAFEM Show 2019 in Orlando, Florida. This year we had a number of exciting products to talk about, but our main announcement was surrounding a new release in our VR Visualization Services.

VR Experience vs. VR Design Tool

If you stopped by our booth this year you may have noticed a lot has changed with our virtual reality experience since the last NAFEM show two years ago. First, we've taken it from a simple VR experience showcasing a few select products to a functioning, beautiful design tool for our customers to use.

Franke FSA's Visualization Services team has been helping beta customers through their design processes, including workstation prototype designs and entire store concept design reviews. At this year's show we announced a new feature, Multi-User.

Multi-User Visualization Services

Franke_Visualization_Services-1Our NAFEM Show booth featured two virtual reality stations set up where visitors could join, along with a Franke sales specialist. Once inside Franke's VR design tool, the two users could communicate together while walking around a Franke-designed QSR. The restaurant showcased some of our favorite products, including the Franke Transporter, Cascade PlusEcO3Ice, and FIFO Bottles, as well as custom fabricated workstations.

How Visualization Services Can Help You

We heard amazing feedback all week long from customers who tried out the tool. Virtual reality allows engineers and designers the luxury of experiencing their designs in true-to-life scale before they are ever turned into physical prototypes. This saves time and money during the design process, which everyone agrees is a major bonus.

The multi-user capabilities that were announced at The NAFEM Show 2019 allow all decision makers (engineers, designers, facilities managers, marketing, CEOs) to inspect the designs together in one virtual space no matter where they are physically located. When you're working with national chains people are often spread out, and this is one way of bringing everyone together to collaborate more effectively.
